Overlooking Director General and Acting Director – Research of the INSS Colonel Nalin Herath RSP who is also the Director Media of Ministry of Defence, met the Director General of the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute (BIDTI) Amb. Pamela J Deen in her office at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo today (Oct 17).
The friendly meeting led to a fruitful discussion during which the heads of the institutes agreed on the necessity of enhancing capacity building for students studying international relations. This is particularly crucial given the backdrop of growing geopolitical developments and the novel opportunities awaiting the youth.
The need for close working relations between the two institutes through academic and training networking and knowledge sharing was highlighted and both agreed to move forward in this direction promising to have extensive discussions in the future.
