INSS Welcome New Interns

The Institute of National Security Studies warmly welcomes the three newly recruited ladies who joined on 19th December 2022 for a six months internship. During the internship tenure they are expected to engage in research and events connected to National Security and come up with suitable recommendations to address those challenges.

Ms. Sankani Maleesha Gunawardhana is a final year undergraduate at the Metropolitan College who following a Bachelor’s degree in science in the field of International Relations. She is also, in her second year following degree in Law at Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) law School. She has successfully completed a Certificate Course in Human Resource Management (CCHRM) at the Charted Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and a Diploma in International Relations from Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) with a Merit Pass. Her research interests are Human rights, and Regional and International Security.

Ms. Minoshi Perera is currently reading for her Masters in Human Rights and Democratisation at the University of Colombo. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University and Bachelors of Arts in English and Linguistics from the University of Sri Jayewardenapura. She was a Team Leader and a Manager at AIESEC at the University of Sri Jayewardenapura. Her research interests are National Security and Human Rights.

Ms. Methma Ranaweera is presently reading for her Master of Arts in International Relations at the University of Peradeniya. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University and a Diploma in Counselling Psychology from the University of Colombo. Currently, she is reading for her final year examination at the Sri Lanka Law College to enrol herself as an attorney-at–law in Sri Lanka. Her research interests are Human Rights and National Security.
