INSS bids farewell to accomplished Research Interns

The Institute of National Security Studies (INSS) hosted a departure ceremony to bid farewell to five accomplished research interns who successfully completed their six-month internship.

The outgoing interns include Ms. W.D.S Madhavi, Ms. U. G. A. Darshika Sewwandi, Mr. Thamindu Devinda, Ms. Chamathka Rupasinghe, and Ms. Helini Yapa Bandara, who specialized in distinct fields and actively engaged in research and events related to National Security. They have made significant contributions and provided valuable recommendations to tackle associated challenges during their tenure at INSS.

During the session, the INSS Director General and Acting Director – Research, Colonel M B B Nalin Herath RSP, delivered a motivational speech emphasizing the significance of their continued involvement in research activities and the crucial role of disseminating knowledge.

The INSS has been influential in unleashing the potentials of individuals proficient in various disciplines, ranging from geopolitics, international relations, human rights, peace and conflict, environmental technology, terrorist financing, money laundering, to socioeconomics.

The event culminated with an exchange of souvenirs, marking an impactful chapter in their academic journey at the INSS.
