A few staff members of INSS represented the Ministry of Defence in two series of seminars namely the Senior Executive Seminar and the Executive Seminar organized by the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies, USA. Ms. Charani Patabendige, Acting Research Analyst and Research Assistant of INSS participated in this year Senior Executive Seminar titled ‘Climate Change and Security’ held from 14th to 18th of November 2022, The seminar has given an opportunity for professionals from the different regions to debate and discuss what global and regional competitive dynamics mean for them.
Meanwhile, two other Research Assistants Mrs. Kalpani Gunathilake and Mr. Thusitha Bulathgama, had the opportunity in participating in the Executive Seminar series titled ‘Strategic Power Competition in Multipolar World’. This seminar was conducted for about two weeks from 5th December to 16th December 2022. The seminar has given an opportunity to expand the knowledge on great power rivalry and its current manifestations.
